| About Us! |
The Latrobe Art Center is a
non-profit organization that fosters creativity for anyone who
has the desire to discover, learn and create art. It is our intent
to provide programs for all ages to discover their artistic interests
in a welcoming and encouraging environment. We also encourage the
public to observe art in the making and be able to share in the
joy and energy that creative expression brings to all.
We provide a chance for local members of the art
center to showcase and sell their work by having six different
themed shows throughout the year. For non-members we offer a "Featured
Artist"
exhibition in which the artist is given the chance to be able to
have a one woman/man show and market his/her work for a two month
period. There are classes and workshops for all ages open to the
public, that are taught by local and national artists. The Young
Adult Classes range in ages from as young as six to as old as eighteen.
The Art Center space is available for meetings, parties, and showers.
Please take some time to look at our site and see what interests
you.

Development The
Latrobe Art Center was the inspiration of artists, Elizabeth Hazlett
and Nancy Rogers Crozier. Their vision has received enthusiastic
encouragement from local artists, cultural groups, and the community.
The Art Center is a place of renewed vitality and opportunity for
growth to all who participate. Art classes for children and adults,
art exhibitions, and special interest programs are provided. Financial
support is provided by grants and contributions. |
