Art Neighbors, Episode 5: Greensburg Art Center and the Origins of "Art Neighbors"

In the fifth episode of Art Neighbors: Explore. Discover. Inspire., learn about the exhibitions, classes, and other opportunities available to local artists at the Greensburg Art Center with artist and GAC board member Sarah Hunter.

Greensburg Art Center was incorporated in 1952 as a nonprofit educational organization, dedicated to art and to helping others gain an appreciation for art. A year-round gallery showcases a cross-section of established and emerging artists. A 3-dimensional studio on the lower level allows students to explore ceramics, sculpture, fiber art, photography and print-making. The mission of GAC is to engage and nurture both artists and non-artists alike in making art an integral part of their lives.

To learn more about the Greensburg Art Center, visit www.greensburgartcenter.org, or stop by and check out their gallery space Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturday, 1 – 4 p.m.

The Greensburg Art Center has been a long time friend and sister organization of Latrobe Art Center, and we are thrilled to learn more about them in this way. This name of this vlog is actually inspired by a joint show between the Latrobe and Greensburg Art Centers called the Art Neighbors Joint Exhibition, which showcases the works of members of both organizations side-by-side each year.
