Summer Art Camps at Latrobe Art Center!
Join Latrobe Art Center for some Summer art fun! Participating children and students will have the opportunity to learn from professional, local artists and create summertime-themed works of art using a variety of media and techniques! See below for this year’s camp options.
Dates: June 15 & 16
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Age Group: Children ages 4-6
Cost: $45
Storybook Art Adventures!
Young artists will bring beloved children’s books to life through colorful, hands-on art projects inspired by favorite stories like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Color Monster. Campers will explore painting, collage, texture, and mixed media while creating playful characters, imaginative scenes, and expressive artwork.
Students will experiment with materials such as acrylic paint, watercolor, tissue paper, markers, foil printing, and collage elements while developing fine motor skills and creative confidence. This camp is perfect for little ones who love stories, color, and getting creative!

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Join Latrobe Art Center for some Summer art fun! For three days, children in 1st through 4th grade will be taught by artists from Latrobe Art Center and create works of art using a variety of media and techniques!
Exploring Art From Around the World!
Pack your bags for a creative journey across the globe! In this camp, students will explore artistic traditions from cultures including Ghana, Australia, and Central America. Campers will create bold geometric designs inspired by Kente weaving, experiment with dot painting techniques influenced by Aboriginal art, and design vibrant sun-inspired artwork rooted in cultural symbolism.
Students will work with a variety of materials including paint, oil pastels, patterned design, mixed media, and collage techniques. This camp encourages creativity while introducing students to global cultures through fun, hands-on art experiences.

Storybook Art Adventures!
Favorite children’s stories come to life in this fun-filled camp designed just for young artists. Inspired by books like Mother Goose, Bruce and Never Let a Dinosaur Scribble, campers will create playful characters, colorful backgrounds, and imaginative scenes.
Students will explore watercolor, crayon resist techniques, drawing, and mixed media while experimenting with bright colors and creative textures. This camp encourages storytelling, creativity, and confidence while young artists create artwork they’ll be excited to take home.
Dates: July 13 - 17, 2026 (NEW 5-DAY PROGRAM)

Age Group: Children in grades 5-8
Cost: $90
Join Latrobe Art Center for some Summer art fun! For five days, children in 5th through 8th grade will be taught by artists from Latrobe Art Center and create works of art using a variety of media and techniques. A special reception will be held at the end of the week for parents and families to view and enjoy all of the artwork the students created!

Iconic Architecture Around the World!
Young artists will travel the world through art while exploring famous buildings and landmarks from Europe and Asia. Campers will create artwork inspired by iconic structures such as the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Taj Mahal, and traditional pagodas.
Students will experiment with a variety of creative techniques including painting, drawing, watercolor blending, transfer techniques, and mixed media backgrounds. This camp blends art, culture, and creativity while encouraging students to develop their artistic skills and imagination.
BRAND NEW Mural Art Camp!
Calling all artists ages 12-18!
Led by local artist Katelyn Buchan, explore your creativity, build community, and create a collaborative mural from start to finish!
Dates: August 10-15 & 17-19 (9 Days Total)*
*Depending on the total number of registered campers, participants will be split into two groups - Group A & Group B. Camp dates will be assigned to each group accordingly:
August 10-12 (BOTH GROUPS)
August 13 (Group A)
August 14 (Group B)
August 15 (BOTH GROUPS)
August 17 (Group A)
August 18 (Group B)
August 19 (BOTH GROUPS)
Times: 3:00 - 5:30 PM (all weekdays) & 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Saturday, August 15*)
*Students are not required to be present all day on Saturday, August 15th. The camp instructor will provide specific instructions and time frame requests for this day at the start of camp based on what works best for the participating campers.
Cost: FREE*
*$50 registration fee will be refunded in full on the last day of the camp based on camper attendance. Please choose preference. Schedule will be determined based on number of attendees and preferences.
