Children’s “Hootin’ Halloween” Party

Intro. to Matting & Framing with Eileen Yeager
Dates: Saturday, November 22nd and Sunday, 23rd

Learn the fundamentals of Matting and Framing, excellent for artists, collectors or anyone interested in getting into the framing business. Students will learn design, basic and custom mats, mathematics of framing, preservation techniques, knowledge of tools, hands-on matcutting, as well as mounting and pre-cut frame assembly. Participants will take home their framed creation at the end of the course.

Wax Paper Christmas Tree Making with Sue Hrubes

Using layered strips of wax paper, you’ll construct a three-dimensional tree that captures and reflects light beautifully. Retro Holiday Tree Painting with Sue Hrubes
Dates: Tuesday, December 9th
Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Add some mid-century charm to your holiday season! In this class, students will paint and decorate a retro-style “tree” using a clean, triangular design. Customize your piece with bright colors, patterns, or a cozy winter scene inside the shape — then choose to frame it as wall art or transform it into a handmade holiday card. BYOB.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made at least 2 weeks prior to the start date of the class will be issued a full refund less a 25% processing fee. All requests for refunds must be made in writing to info@latrobeartcenter.org. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to the start date of the class will be issued a 50% refund. Emergency exceptions will be made at the discretion of Latrobe Art Center.
