Continue your oil painting journey with Kathleen Mitchell in this beginners course! Apply what was learned in Parts 1 & 2, and learn to paint landscape and still life paintings, step-by-step.

Course breakdown:

• Class 1: Painting a Landscape, Step by Step; Using photographs and How Photos Lie!

• Class 2: Painting a Landscape, Step by Step, ….continued

• Class 3: Painting a Still Life, Step by Step; Using photos vs Real Life set ups

• Class 4: Painting a Still Life, Step by Step, …..continued

  *Or if you have taken Beginning Oil Painting class in 2023, then choose your own subject and explore the differing painting styles: Tonalism, Impressionism, Abstract Impressionism, Realism, or any other style you are interested in! Bring in your own photos or choose from those provided by Kathy.

Cancellation Policy:

At least 3 weeks prior to the start date of the workshop a full refund will be made less a $50.00 processing fee OR a full refund amount credit can be applied to another workshop/art class. All requests for refunds must be made in writing to info@latrobeartcenter.org Credit is nontransferable and may only be applied toward workshops/art classes.

Painting from photographs as well as still life settings, Doreen develops students’ skills in mixing color, value, and brushwork. A class for all experience levels.

Part mixed-media class, part basic drawing class, Sue Hrubes will broaden your understanding of what can be achieved using a pencil, watercolor or acrylic paints, and mixed media. Don’t be afraid—think outside the box! A class for all experience levels. Come join us on our adventure!
